In theses chapters, Patricia is introduced to the place where she will be teaching Portuguese and Math for adult students. She meets Lenita and Ms. Dirce, both work at the school. She also visits her family in the physical world and dictates to her aunt Vera, a short message for her mom.
In these chapters Patricia shows how much she is enjoying her work. She goes to one of her student's house for a farewell party for his son that would be soon reincarnate. She is very happy that her nephew Arthur was born and has a chance to go visit him. She also meets Ramiro and learns about his story in the spiritual world.
